Opening Previous or Next File from the Panel or Find Window

When a panel directory or the Find window's found files list contains more than one image file, you can use the View command on the first file and then view the rest in the same viewer window one by one with the following commands:

• Previous (the Backspace key): open the previous image file,
• Next (the Space key): open the next image file,
• Previous Selected (the Ctrl+Backspace key): open the previous selected image file,
• Next Selected (the Ctrl+Space key): open the next selected image file,
• First (the Shift+Backspace key): open the first image file,
• Last (the Shift+Space key): open the last image file,
• Select/Unselect and Previous (the Ctrl+Shift+Backspace key): select or unselect the image file in the panel or Find window, then open the previous image file,
• Select/Unselect and Next (the Ctrl+Shift+Space key): select or unselect the image file in the panel or Find window, then open the next image file.

The mouse wheel can also be used to open the next or previous image file; see Keyboard & Mouse tab in Configuration.

Note: all these commands work only until you change the contents of the panel or Find window from which you opened the viewer.

You can find the Previous, Next, First, Last and selected-file commands in the viewer submenu File/Other Files, and the two Select/Unselect commands in the File menu next to Select/Unselect Opened File in the Panel or Find. In addition, you can find the Previous, Next, Previous Selected, Next Selected and both Select/Unselect commands in the viewer context menu (right-click the image to open this menu).
