Change Attributes
Use this dialog box to change attributes of selected files and directories.
Dialog Box Options
- Set Attributes
- Each attribute is represented by a check box with the following meanings:
Attribute is set for all selected files and directories.
Attribute is not set for any of the selected files and directories.
Attribute is set for some, but not all, of the selected files and directories.
- To set an attribute, select its check box. To clear an attribute, clear its check box. If you want to
leave an attribute as it is, set its check box to the third state.
- The attributes are:
- Archive – the file has changed since it was last backed up.
- Hidden – the file or directory is hidden from normal directory listings.
- Read-only – the file cannot be modified or deleted until this attribute is cleared.
- System – the file or directory is used by the operating system.
- When you check Include subdirectories, the attribute check boxes you have not
changed switch to the third state, because the contents of the selected directories are
not known in advance.
- Change Date and Time
- Allows you to specify the last modification, creation, and last access
times and dates of the selected files and directories. Use the Set Current button
to set the current time and date in the selected time and date boxes.
- Include subdirectories
- When checked, the operation includes files and directories contained within
the selected directories.
