您可从 Tortoise Hg、Tortoise SVN 等其他应用程序使用文件比较器插件。使用随附的 fcremote.exe 工具，在 Sally 尚未运行时启动它，并打开新的文件比较器窗口，比较指定的两个文件。

比较其他应用程序指定的文件：

1. 转到文件比较器插件目录，例如 C:\Program Files\Sally\plugins\filecomp。
2. 找到 fcremote.exe 工具。
3. 对 fcremote.exe 使用“复制 路径 + 名称 为文本”命令（Alt+Insert 键），将其完整路径及名称复制到剪贴板。
4. 将 fcremote.exe 的完整路径和名称粘贴到应用程序，并提供两个文件路径作为参数。如果需要 fcremote.exe 等待文件比较器窗口关闭（某些应用程序以此为信号删除待比较文件的临时副本），请在两个文件路径之前使用 -w 选项。

示例：在 Tortoise Hg 中使用文件比较器插件：

1. 在文本编辑器中打开 mercurial.ini 文件。可在 Tortoise Hg 的 Settings 对话框中点击 Edit File 按钮。
2. 找到 [tortoisehg] 节，并添加以下行：
   vdiff = MySalDiff
3. 找到 [merge-tools] 节，并添加以下行：
   MySalDiff.executable=C:\Program Files\Sally\plugins\filecomp\fcremote.exe
   MySalDiff.diffargs=-w $parent $child
